The representative publication of the National Gallery in Prague presents a collection of 155 artworks from the 20th century as evidence of the exceptional nature and scope of the Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art. It offers a non-conformist perspective, discovering new artists and positions. The art of the 20th century branches out into numerous movements and tendencies, so it was not possible to publish the works in a simple chronological order based on their creation. Instead, meaningful constellations were chosen, providing a more interesting and, above all, comprehensive insight into the nature of the collections.
